Edinburgh - through the lens.

Image
A few months ago, a friend and I went to Edinburgh to see Hairspray the musical. Whilst the whole weekend went in in a flash, we still managed to squeeze in lots of fun things to do as well as taking lots of candid shots of one of my favourite cities in the world! So, in order to get me back in to ‘writing’ (I’m aware I have been MIA since forever, sozzzzz) I've decided this post won't be wordy and instead will be filled with photographs. Photographs can sometimes tell us more than words do so with that in mind - enjoy my iPhone pics because this numpty forgot her good camera. Lots of love xoxo     _________________________________________________________________________________ That's it for this week, folks! I hope you enjoyed my *not so* brilliant photography. If you have never been to Edinburgh before, I would highly recommend it. There is so much history, culture, fun things to

Positive affirmations

Someone said to me last week that we are our own worst critic and this is absolutely true of me. I always doubt myself, my abilities, put myself down or be the but of the joke for a lot of reasons; 1) If i make a joke out of myself, it means no-one else will (wow this is getting deep, soz). 2) I actually like making people laugh because life can be rubbish sometimes (and that’s putting it politely) and I would rather make someone laugh because then they get a little minute of joy. 3) I think perhaps it’s Scottish/British culture to not get too above our station, show off, be overly confident or cocky so instead we downplay our abilities and strengths. How often do we say ‘oh that was just a flook’ when really we should accept compliments, celebrate our individual strengths and this is something I hope to change!) Today I had a driving lesson and although I actually do enjoy driving, I wasn’t looking forward to it.  I always begin my lesson by thinking ‘oh i wonder what I’m going

Hello and a very Happy New Year to you all!  This time of year, a very popular post is 'what I got for Christmas' and as much as I absolutely love finding out what everyone got for Christmas this year, I've decided to change it up a little and do a 'what I got for Christmas' -  * X-Factor voice * THROWBACK EDITION  (too much? perhaps!) Anyway, I'm going to be going through all the the things that I used to get when I was a little girl growing up in the 90s - because the crazy thought occurred to me that those born in 2000 (Millenials) are going to be 18 this year?! That is crazy and makes me feel so very old because I no longer squeeze into the 18-25 category but the 26-35 one!! So without further adieu let's get staaarrrrted. Baby Born Early on this year, I had asked a little girl what she wanted from Santa and she had said she wanted a 'cry baby' and when I asked her if it was similar to Baby Born - she replied 'no, it's
