Edinburgh - through the lens.

A few months ago, a friend and I went to Edinburgh to see Hairspray the musical. Whilst the whole weekend went in in a flash, we still managed to squeeze in lots of fun things to do as well as taking lots of candid shots of one of my favourite cities in the world! So, in order to get me back in to ‘writing’ (I’m aware I have been MIA since forever, sozzzzz) I've decided this post won't be wordy and instead will be filled with photographs. Photographs can sometimes tell us more than words do so with that in mind - enjoy my iPhone pics because this numpty forgot her good camera. Lots of love xoxo

That's it for this week, folks! I hope you enjoyed my *not so* brilliant photography. If you have never been to Edinburgh before, I would highly recommend it. There is so much history, culture, fun things to see and do, architecture so you're probably better off going for a week than a weekend. Also, during the summer there is the FRINGE, military tattoo etc and these are amazing to see. I keep going back to this city. It's one of many favourites in the world.

Top 10 children's books

This week I'm going to chat about some of my favourite children's books!  I think it's so important to immerse children in literature from an early age. This gets their imaginations running, their speech and language rolling, their sense of humour in gear as well as it being a great and special time for you to bond with your child. Here are some of my favourites! Enjoy. 'Fantastically great women who changed the world' by Kate Pankhurst. Coming from a woman who - as a sassy, flighty, young girl - could not relate to many female characters in her childhood books - I would've loved to have had this book back when I was small! Women in my childhood stories  were always portrayed as the weaker sex, always  needed 'saving' and couldn't be the hero, didn't fight back or show any gusto... This book, however, is set to squash all that. It details all the amazing women in history who have made an incredible difference to the world as we now know it -
